The New Language Police

I wrote four articles on the new political correctness for American Purpose. The first discusses the term homeless and the argument that it needs replacement. The second revisits the move to capitalize B in Black when referring to Black people, touches on the campaign against hyphens in Chinese-American and the like, and argues against capitalizing W in white. The third talks about the progressive style of copyediting known as Conscious Style. The fourth talks about the broader phenomenon of policing other people’s language.
